Arroyabe launches new online store in 15 European countries

Following the company’s aim to boost online sales, Arroyabe has opened a new online shop of canned seafood in 15 European countries. From now on Seafood Lovers from United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Greece, Poland and Czech Republic will enjoy premium seafood of the Cantabrian Sea with a few clicks. Orders will be directly delivered from our warehouse in Bermeo (Basque Country, Spain) and purchases above 150€ will include free shipping.

In addition, new content has been created to explain the importance of artisanal fish canning and superior quality of white tuna and Cantabrian anchovies.

This new webpage will be available in two languages; English and Italian. French version will be also launched soon. This way, 14 new countries will join to the existing online store in Italy and Spain (for purchases within Spain, please visit www.arroyabe.es).

Premio Eroski a la sostenibilidad

Arroyabe, winner of the Eroski Sustainability Award

Arroyabe is proud to win the Eroski Sustainability Award that recognizes its contribution to local sustainability and the development of an eco-friendly production model. The Basque retail group Eroski has arranged the first edition of the Sustainability Award to reward companies that contribute to local sustainable development.

Various representatives of the retail group were present at the Awards Ceremony, as well as the director for agriculture and fishing of the Basque Government, Bittor Oroz.  The director of Eroski was also present, who stressed the commitment of Arroyabe with the soil, the sea, the employment, the health and the environmental richness. He also enhanced the professionalism and expertise of Arroyabe in the sustainability field.

Arroyabe was elected as the winner of the Award in a popular vote, in which Arroyabe was supported by consumers. Previously, an expert jury chose the three finalists for the prize. Arroyabe would like to publicly thank all the participants in the popular vote their recognition and confidence in the company.

Arroyabe has been awarded with the Best Agrifood SME Prize

Arroyabe attended on April 22nd the XIII National Conference of SMEs, at which the retail group Carrefour awarded the best agrifood SME and the most innovative company.

The distribution company has recognized Arroyabe as the best agrifood SME of the Basque Country 2013, based on the opinion of its customers. After the awards last November in Bilbao (read article), this time Carrefour has recognized Arroyabe’s merits at the ceremony held in Madrid.

At the same event, the president of Carrefour, Rafael Arias Salgado, reaffirmed its commitment to SMEs. As proof of this, he said that the company made ??purchases worth 7,297 million euros in 2013 to more than 9,300 Spanish companies, 83% of them SMEs .

The ceremony was also attended by the Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Miguel Arias Cañete, who stressed that these awards are “very significant, as they are granted by final consumers.”

 

Arroyabe receives the Award to the Best SME in the Basque Country

Arroyabe received last November 14 in Bilbao, the “Award for Best Agrifood SME” in the Basque Country.

The event was attended by Bittor Oroz, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries from  the Basque Government and Agustín Ramos, General Secretary of Carrefour Spain.

Arroyabe has been chosen by voting of the guests who visited the campaign “Bertako Produktuak, El Sabor de lo Nuestro”  held by Carrefour from July 23 to August 10 in all of the hypermarkets of Basque Country.

Carrefour recognized with these awards, the work of local SME that stand out for their quality and image in their markets.
